American white ash is a tree species common in the southern regions of Quebec. Unfortunately, for several decades, the emerald ash borer, a destructive parasitic insect, has been ravaging the trees. This issue affects both forested and urban areas. In response to the need to cut down infected trees, MATPEL Ecological Carpentry has made it its mission to contribute to the preservation and safeguarding of cut wood. Our woodworkers give a second life to this precious organic material. Like a jewel salvaged from the rubble, this ash wood disc boldly reflects the richness of trees and the natural beauty they have to share.

Cambium Arte is a collection of wall art made exclusively from local wood species. Each piece is crafted by hand with care and respect. Furthermore, the finish applied contains low VOCs, preserving the natural look of the wood while enhancing the richness of its details. The hanging or mounting systems are pre-installed and thoughtfully designed. All that’s left is to hang the pieces on the wall!
